The Square D HEPD80 2 Pole Surge Protector is designed for industrial applications and can be used for suppressing the unexpected surge from exposed panels. It manages thermal effects from deteriorating Mechanism Operated Cell (MOC) and keeps appliances safe from damaging surges. In case the suppressor integrated into this device needs to be replaced an audible alarm is provided for signaling the need for a change. It comes with the mounting hardware and has a plastic enclosure that offers insulation for added safety. This surge protector can be used with or without an OPCD (Overcurrent Protection Device).
