Applications

This CNMG542-GR NC3030 insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.008 to 0.028 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.315 in. It is designed for medium to low-speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting applications. It is suitable primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and stability, making it ideal for interrupted cuts and heavy roughing in rigid setups.
