Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 82 to 525 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.016 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.177 in. It is designed for interrupted cutting and roughing operations, handling medium to heavy cuts effectively. It is suitable primarily for ISO groups P35-P45 (steel) and secondarily for M30-M40 (stainless steel), K30-K35 (cast iron), and S25-S35 (HRSA/titanium). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust geometry make it ideal for tough interrupted cuts and roughing in these materials, but not for finishing or profiling.
