Applications

This DCGT turning insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds between 0.002 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 inches. These parameters allow for precise control in continuous cutting operations. The insert is optimized for machining non-ferrous metals (ISO group N) with a positive rake chipbreaker, which enhances cutting efficiency and surface finish. Designed specifically for continuous cutting, this insert is ideal for finishing applications in non-ferrous materials. Its positive rake and 55° diamond shape provide excellent profiling clearance and low cutting forces, but it is not suitable for interrupted cutting or rough turning. The 3/64″ nose radius supports fine finishing and detailed contouring tasks.
