Applications

This CNMG433-VC NC3225 insert supports cutting speeds from 410 to 771 sfm, feeds from 0.008 to 0.018 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for general cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.118 in. The insert is optimized for ISO P20-P25 steel grades, making it suitable primarily for medium to rough turning and facing operations. Its negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and durability. This insert excels in interrupted cuts and roughing but is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling. It is ideal for production OD turning, facing of forgings and castings with scale, and boring in rigid setups with heavier interrupted entry.
