Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds and feeds suitable for medium to rough turning with depth of cut up to 3.0 mm. Feed rates can range from 0.08 to 0.25 mm per revolution, accommodating a broad spectrum of production turning and facing operations. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish quality with edge strength, making it versatile for general machining tasks. Designed primarily for ISO groups P and K, it excels in machining steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. Its negative rake geometry and robust edge strength make it ideal for interrupted cuts and heavy roughing in rigid setups. This insert is not recommended for precision finishing, profiling, or thin-wall workpieces due to its higher cutting forces.
