Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feed rates between 0.001 and 0.002 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.012 in. These parameters suit light to moderate machining tasks requiring precision and control. The positive rake geometry and 1/64″ nose radius enable effective finishing and semi-finishing operations within these ranges. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steels, K20-K25 cast irons, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. The insert is ideal for general cutting applications but is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing, focusing instead on continuous and stable machining conditions.
