Applications

This CNMG turning insert supports cutting speeds from 525 to 984 sfm, feeds between 0.005 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.276 in. It is designed for general cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.276 in. The insert is optimized for ISO P20-P25 steel grades, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations. Its negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and durability, especially in interrupted cuts and heavier machining conditions. This insert is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling due to its geometry and cut condition suitability.
