Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds from 0.003 to 0.009 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium to low speed roughing conditions. The 1/64″ nose radius balances edge strength and finish capability for semi-finishing to medium machining tasks. It is suitable primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape enable use in interrupted cutting but with moderate edge strength, making it ideal for medium-low speed roughing rather than heavy interrupted cuts or heavy roughing operations.
