Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.008 and 0.028 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.394 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium to low speed roughing. The insert is suitable for machining ISO P25-P35 steels primarily, with secondary capability in M25-M35 stainless steels. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for roughing and interrupted cuts, but it is not intended for fine finishing or profiling operations.
