Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 82 to 525 sfm, feeds between 0.005 and 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for interrupted cutting and roughing operations, handling medium to heavy material removal rates effectively. It is suitable primarily for ISO P35-P45 steels, with secondary capability in M30-M40 stainless steels, K30-K35 cast irons, and S25-S35 HRSA/titanium alloys. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for roughing and interrupted cuts, but it is not recommended for finishing or profiling applications.
