Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds from 0.024 to 0.040 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.520 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium to low speed roughing. The insert excels in medium to rough turning and facing operations on steel and stainless steel. It is optimized for ISO material groups P25-P35 (steel) and M25-M35 (stainless steel). The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for interrupted cuts and heavy roughing, but it is not suitable for precision finishing or profiling applications.
