Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.016 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.177 in. It is designed for general cutting with a universal grade suitable for a wide range of turning operations. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge strength enable effective roughing and interrupted cuts. It is optimized for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) primarily, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). This insert excels in medium to rough turning and facing, including production OD turning and boring in rigid setups, but is not intended for precision finishing or profiling applications.
