This CCMT insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.003 to 0.009 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.094 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting operations, accommodating a versatile range of machining conditions. The insert’s positive rake and 80° diamond shape optimize cutting performance within these parameters. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P35 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary applicability to M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (heat-resistant superalloys and titanium). This insert handles interrupted cuts moderately well but is best applied where moderate edge strength and finishing to semi-finishing quality are required.
