Applications

Cutting speeds range from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. This insert supports continuous cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 in. It is designed for ISO material group N (Non-ferrous metals). The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide low cutting forces suitable for finishing and semi-finishing operations. This insert is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing. Its 1/64″ nose radius balances edge strength with fine contouring capability.
