Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for continuous to general cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.118 in. It is suitable primarily for ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) and secondarily for M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). The positive rake geometry and continuous cutting application make it ideal for finishing and light semi-finishing in these materials. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the positive rake chipbreaker and insert design.
