Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is optimized for continuous to general cutting operations within these parameters. The insert is suitable primarily for ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) and secondarily for M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing applications, but it is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing.
